Privacy Policy

Who we are

This website is operated by Chef Gabriele Franco ("we", "us", "our"), based at 137 Marion St, Leichhardt NSW 2040, Australia. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Specifically:

• Enquiry form — your name, email address, phone number (optional), enquiry subject and message.
• Newsletter signup — your email address.
• Chef Consulting Guide download — your name and email address, so we can send you the guide.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors. The only cookies set are the strictly necessary ones required to keep an administrator signed in to the private admin area — these are never set for ordinary visitors.

Why we collect it

We use your information solely to:

• respond to your enquiry about private dining, cooking classes, catering, events or consulting;
• send you the material you explicitly requested, such as the Chef Consulting Guide;
• send occasional updates about events and classes, where you have opted in.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How it is stored

Enquiries and signups are stored in a Supabase database hosted in the Asia-Pacific (Singapore) region, protected by row-level security. Enquiry notifications are delivered to us by email through Microsoft 365. These providers process the data on our behalf as service providers, which means your information may be stored or handled outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it entirely. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email, or simply by replying and asking.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at gabriele@franco-group.com.au so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and revise the date shown above.
